ACTE is the largest national education association of thriving professionals dedicated to the advancement of education that prepares youth and adults for successful careers. Our members represent all facets of career and technical education (CTE).
Professional Membership

Offers individuals actively engaged and employed in the CTE community a wealth of professional development and networking opportunities. Members in unified state associations are required to hold state and national ACTE membership simultaneously and benefit from involvement at both local and national levels. Positional Group Membership
(Formerly Organization Membership)
Ideal for schools, districts, colleges, and institutions that want to extend ACTE benefits to their entire team. Positional Group Memberships are professional memberships assigned to specific roles within the institution, allowing a membership to be transferred to a new educator in the same position while ensuring access to ACTE’s professional development, advocacy resources, publications, and networking opportunities. Retired Membership

To qualify for Retired membership, you must:
- Be a current Professional ACTE member for at least a year
- Have retired from active full-time or part-time employment
If the criteria is met and you wish to convert or renew your current Professional Membership to a Retired Membership, please contact our Member Services team at memberservices@acteonline.org to start the process.
Student Membership

Offers rising CTE professionals access to essential resources as they prepare for their new careers!
*Student dues may apply at the state level if joining from a unified state.
International Membership
$60
Individuals concerned with career and technical education who reside outside of the United States, its territories and protectorates and who are in a country that is not part of an ACTE region.
Educational Institution Membership
The ACTE Educational Institution Membership is open to any school district, CTE center, and community college or university. It provides four complimentary individual memberships (two professional, and two support staff) and advocacy benefits, plus the option to select from a number of a la carte membership, and complimentary event registration benefits customized to meet your institution’s needs. There are currently three different benefit levels to choose from.
Corporate Membership
Available to corporate entities interested in working with schools and educators on real-world CTE issues and workplace skills.
National Affiliate Membership
Provides non-profit organizations an active voice in the advancement of CTE.
