Career and Financial Management
Career and Financial Management (CFM) is a one-half unit Career and Technical Education (CTE) course required for students in all New York State Approved CTE Programs. It is also commonly included in locally developed CTE sequences. CFM can be taught as a stand-alone course or integrated within an approved CTE program. CFM can be used as part of the 216 hours of CTE instruction required for students pursuing a Career Development and Occupational Studies (CDOS) Graduation Pathway or a CDOS Commencement Credential. CFM can also be delivered in grade eight as an acceleration option. I

The Content modules provide the context to engage students in the themes. These standards-based modules from each CTE content area connect middle to high school learner levels. Content modules are designed for instruction by teachers certified for that content. CTE teachers will use the Content modules aligned with their certification areas to develop meaningful learning experiences that help their students attain the Theme module standards.
