Membership in any category shall begin with receipt of dues at the ACTE office and extend for one year (12 months).

Membership Categories

Professional Membership    $60
Individuals actively employed in or concerned with career and technical education. Professional members in unified state associations are required to hold state and ACTE membership simultaneously. Members in this category are eligible to vote, serve on committees and participate as a delegate. Join Now!

Retired Membership     $31
Individuals who are retired from active employment in career and technical education and have been an ACTE member for at least five (5) years. Members in this category are eligible to vote, serve on committees and participate as a delegate. Join Now!

Student Membership     $10
Individuals who are enrolled as full-time students preparing to become career and technical educators and who are not employed full time in the education system as a teacher, counselor or administrator. Join Now!

International Membership     $60
Individuals concerned with career and technical education who reside outside of the United States, its territories and protectorates and who are in a country that is not part of an ACTE region. This membership category is serviced completely electronically. Join Now!

Educational Institution Membership
This membership category is available for any school district, technical and career center, curriculum center, community college or university. Institutions can join at different levels and enjoy benefits that match their level of support. Join Now!

National Affiliate Organization Membership    $500
This membership category is available for any national organization that has a professional interest in activities that foster the improvement and expansion of career and technical education. Join Now!

Associate Membership    $1,200
Associate membership is available to corporations, owners and persons representing business, industry and the military. Join Now!

In-Depth Analysis, Classroom Tools and Best Practices:
Techniques  magazine is published eight times a year and provides a wealth of useful information to CTE teachers and administrators, including in-depth analysis, classroom tools, and best practices. Please note, international members receive Techniques electronically.

ACTE’s online Communities of Practice, help you network with other educators who share your professional interests around the country.

Professional Recognition:

Forrest T. Jones LogoACTE provides you with a $25,000 policy for common carrier accidental death and dismemberment insurance within the first year of annual membership through the Forrest T. Jones Insurance Company. The policy increases by $5,000 annually with continuous renewal of membership (up to a maximum of $50,000).
